Well, a lot has happened since the last post here – hopefully you’ve kept up to date on social media! My fermentation and lagering tanks have arrived in their new home at Richmond and – after a bit of trial and error (and heavy lifting) – we got them up and operational.
Fast forward a week or two and I was back down in Yorkshire brewing the first batches of my two launch beers: Yellowball Lager and Blackball Lager. Barring the unfortunate-incident-of-the-malfunctioning-hot-liquor-tank, all went as smoothly as we could have hoped. Then it was just a case of waiting…
Tuesday last week, and I was beginning to feel truly at home on the East Coast line between Edinburgh and Darlington. Back down at Richmond again Chris and I tasted the beer and… success! Well, at least the beers were what we were hoping they’d be, so it’s all systems go for bottling.
Which all means that I’ll have bottled, labelled beers ready for sale in Edinburgh in the next 2-3 weeks (around the beginning of October)! Now I just need some places to stock it. Watch this space!
